I HAVE SMALL HANDS, SO I NEED A NARROW NECK.

A common half truth, often leads to a mistake. The first thing a player with small hands needs to address is the scale length. Without sorting that out first, an overly narrow neck setup can actually introduce a lot of strain since it forces to make smaller finger movements that require greater precision to execute, all in a hyper extended hand position.
